What is a digital stamp?
A digital stamp is a visual stamp or seal graphic used in electronic documents. It can display information commonly found on a physical stamp, such as a company name, status, date, address or approval label.
- Choose a starting point
Open an editable template or begin with a blank stamp.
- Customize the design
Edit text, shape, dimensions, icons and styling.
- Preview the stamp
Check that the content and layout fit the intended use.
- Choose the needed format
Select PNG, SVG, EPS, PDF or DOCX.
- Download or stamp a PDF
Use the exported file directly or continue in the PDF Stamp Editor.
Digital stamp versus physical rubber stamp
A physical stamp applies ink to paper. A digital stamp is an image or vector element placed in a digital document. The visual design can be similar, but the application method and file format are different.
Digital stamp versus electronic signature
A visual stamp should not automatically be treated as an electronic signature. Electronic-signature laws and trust services can require identity verification, certificates or other controls that a stamp image does not provide.
Common file formats
The right export depends on the document, web or print workflow.
- PNG: raster image with a transparent background for documents and websites.
- SVG: scalable vector format that remains sharp at any size.
- EPS: vector export for professional design and print workflows.
- PDF: document format for print and document sharing.
- DOCX: Microsoft Word output for workflows that need the stamp in a Word document.
